Neighboring Hills started in 2013 as a way for Scott and Jessica Goering to pursue agricultural endeavors. Ventures in craft cider works and farm-to-table products led us on a winding path, helped by our love of wine and a bit of DIY attitude, to where we are today.
We eventually found property in the Chehalem AVA with Laurelwood soil and western exposure. And a fantastic view.
In 2017, with a 4- and a 1-year-old in tow, we began work on the vineyard. Pinot Noir selections 777 and 73 (a.k.a. clone 115) finally went in the ground in March of 2018.
It’s a small vineyard with a lot of sweat and love put in by us, and our kids.
